SHORT DESCRIPTION

Savona is a seaport in the Liguria Region. It is a cruise embarcation point and provides access to beautiful coastal territory.
Walking through the narrow streets of the historical center, with our Savona food tour we will find out together the oldest eateries, with their delicious and traditional dishes.
This Savona walking food tour incorporates five traditional dishes served in different eateries. We will be starting with an entrée, and ending with a typical Italian dessert or a delicious ice-cream.

POSSIBLE TASTINGS

Panissa - a crispy crust, made with chickpea flour. Excellent fried and served with traditional white bread.
Farinata - a delicious chickpea pancake cooked in a flaming oven. The best one is soft in the center with a lighty crisp coating. You can find the recipe here. Characteristic of the city of Savona is the white variety, with wheat flour. You will have the chance to taste both of them!
Pasta with pesto - the authentic recipe of classic basil Pesto sauce, made of local fresh basil and pine nuts!
Fresh Ligurian fish - the best "Fritto Misto" in town! Highly recommended!
Classic focaccia - the original focaccia typical from Genoa with local extra-virgin olive oil.
Ice cream or dessert - taste the typical and delicious Amaretti di Sassello or the best artisanal ice cream in Savona!
Espresso coffee - Italian coffee rituals expect you ending your meal with an Espresso coffee

Area: The tour will take place in Savona city centre.

It’s a social dining experience. People from all over the world sharing food stories enjoying a relaxing and joyful atmosphere. Therefore, we have a 2 people minimum and 12 people maximum policy. If the minimum number of guests is not reached, we will contact you to reschedule onto another time or date (100% refund).

Expect 1 serving minimum at each stop. Water, wine or beer/soft drinks (in fixed amounts) will be served.

Child policy: children below 5 years old are free of charge. Children from 6 to 10 have 50% discount.

Allergies: please let us know if you suffer of any food allergy or intolerance. Do Eat Better will not be responsible for any guest not informing us about special dietary restrictions at the time of the booking.
