TASTINGS

Charcuterie Basque - In a historic shop located in the old town, come and taste the best pieces of charcuterie that the Basque country has to offer (vintage ham, cured meat, etc.) while admiring the best pieces of meat meticulously displayed in the shop.
Taloa - A thin corn cake filled with ventrèche bacon and sheep's cheese and cooked a la plancha, the traditional dish of Basque village festivals.
Grilled hake - Stop off at one of the cider houses in the Petit Bayonne area, where cider is still served as it was in the old days. It will be accompanied by a grilled hake with fried garlic and deglazed with vinegar and chilli. A unique and convivial experience to be shared without restriction.
Basque cakes - Yes, it's the most famous dessert in the area that you'll be eating: the Basque cake! From its Basque name "etxeko bixkotxa", Basque cake literally means "cake from home". It is traditionally filled with black cherries, or with almond or rum/vanilla custard. Take your pick!
Chocolate - Let's finish our tour to a chocolate maker who has been practicing for about twenty years and who proposes wonderful chocolates, the chocolate bars are part of their specialty. They have their manufacturing laboratory in Cambo, a village a little further inland where they have opened a chocolate museum as well.

Our food tour is an all-round experience. We believe that the experience is successful when our guests test themselves learning, sharing their experiences and having fun. Therefore, we have a 2-people minimum and a 12-people maximum. If the minimum number of guests is not reached, we will contact you to reschedule the class at another time or day.

Expect 1 serving minimum at each stop. Water, wine or beer/soft drinks (in fixed amounts) will be served.

Child policy: children below 5 years old are free of charge. Children from 6 to 10 have 50% discount.

Allergies: please let us know if you suffer from any food allergy or intolerance. Do Eat Better will not be responsible for any guest not informing us about special dietary restrictions at the time of the booking.
